A Tribute to Lee Konitz and Warne Marsh

Melbourne based saxophonists Dean Kalait and Mia Barham bring you a night of duets, originally recorded and performed by Lee Konitz and Warne Marsh. In a tribute to one of the most prominent saxophone albums of all time, Dean and Mia's quintet will play a mixture of tunes from the album and original tunes inspired by the album. Featuring rich saxophone harmonies and lush melodic lines performed by good friends, the night will be a beautiful reference to a classic album. This intimate album recorded by two good friends in the 1950's, will be performed again by good friends Mia and Dean and their quintet, nearly 70 years later.
